I consider myself a progressive Democrat who supports universal health care, economic policies that support the middle class, civil liberties, equality for all, and a strong public education system.

Here's how I'm voting. Take it or leave it.

US Senate

Jeff Merkley

Endorsed Vote: Yes

Rep. Jeff Merkley (D-Portland) is the Speaker of the Oregon House. Before that, he was the executive director of Portland Habitat for Humanity, executive director of the World Affairs Council of Oregon, and a strategic weapons analyst for Congress and the Pentagon.

Steve Novick

Endorsed Vote: No

Steve is a local activist and political consultant.

Attorney General

Greg Macpherson

Endorsed Vote: Yes

A Democrat, Greg was first elected to the Oregon House of Representatives in 2002, and is currently Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, which is responsible for legislation protecting public safety, civil liberties, and consumer rights in Oregon. Among other accomplishments, he crafted Measure 49, to protect farm lands and open space.

John Kroger

Endorsed Vote: No

John is a law professor at Lewis & Clark and a former federal prosecutor.

Secretary of State

Kate Brown

Endorsed Vote: Yes

Senator Kate Brown began her career in public service over sixteen years ago. First elected to the Oregon House of Representatives in 1991, Kate served two successful terms in the House before being elected to the Oregon State Senate in 1996. In 1998, Senator Brown was elected Democratic Leader, where she successfully led the Senate Democratic Caucus from a 10-20 Minority to an 18-12 Majority.

Rick is a state senator from Welches, and former sportscaster.

Vicki Walker

Endorsed Vote: No

Vicki is a state senator from Eugene and a court reporter.

Mayor, Portland

Sam Adams

Endorsed Vote: Yes

Sam is a one-term member of the Portland City Council. The Portland Tribune called him "the council’s most vocal advocate for public arts, neighborhoods, diversity, transportation, economic development, and transparency and accountability in government."

Endorsed Vote: No

Sho is a businessman that owns Azumano Travel, a travel agency.
